He has chronic indwelling urethral catheter. Histology shows severe chronic follicular cystitis. There is a large lymphoid follicle with germinal centre, occupying most of the stroma of the biopsy. Elsewhere, there is light scattering of lymphocytes and plasma cells. There is no ulceration of surface urothelium.Back to article page
